Cases
Case studies
Most of the projects I work on are covered by non-disclosure agreements — in reputation work that is the rule rather than the exception. A client who hires a SERM contractor does not, by definition, want that known.
What I show on a call
Instead of public case studies I go through the prospect's own situation. That is both more honest and more useful: somebody else's case tells you nothing about what will happen to your brand.
On a first call we look at your first page together — how many of the ten results are controlled, what autocomplete suggests, what rating your card shows, and where the next wave of negatives is likely to come from. It takes about an hour and commits you to nothing.
If you then want to see comparable projects, I walk through NDA material on the call: industry, company size, period and numbers, without names.
How I report results
So you know what to expect from reporting, every result write-up contains:
- industry, market, working period and my role on the project
- the starting point: a screenshot of the results page, how much negative material sat in the top ten, aggregator ratings, share of brand traffic
- stages with timings — what was done and when
- the result in numbers with a period: "this much in this many months", not "significant growth"
- a screenshot of the results page at the close
A case without a period and without numbers is not a case, it is an anecdote. That is why there is always a screenshot: a CEO can open it and verify it in thirty seconds.
